About Giggles Animal Gifts
Giggles are cheeky little animal figures lovingly hand-crafted from polymer clay.
and an inquisitive toddler for company.
although they do look yummy!
Origins
I've been making animals from polymer clay since the age of 11 when I was bought a 'Fimo' project pack for Christmas. The first thing I made was a plump little piggy, and I can't help but giggle when I look at it now! He was quickly followed by a variety of other brightly coloured animal characters but the piggy always remained my favourite. Here he is !

Because I enjoyed creating these so much I continued to make them and gave them all to my friends and family, who were soon asking me for more to give away as gifts themselves.
And so, Giggles were born........
Why 'Giggles' ? Simply because of the response they get from customers at craft fairs who point and giggle at the different characters on display.
They have, of course, evolved over the years as you can see in the pigs below. I am always trying new ideas and what you see now is a result of trial and error, a collection born of a love of animals and a creative itch that I have always been unable to resist. (....and the child in me that never grew up!)

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
About me
I have always been arty-farty and chose to follow an education in art, craft and design culminating in a B.A. (hons) in History of Art and later, a career as an Art teacher. I have taught Art & Design, Design & Technology, Graphic Design, Textiles and Art History as well as dabbling in many areas in my own artistic endeavours. Although I continue to skip from project to project like an exciteable child, polymer clay animals have always been the one constant in my artistic output and they have been making people giggle since 1986!
I get a great deal of enjoyment out of making Giggles and thinking up new models. I still get a kick out adding the eyes, which I do last of all to complete their individual character.
Since the birth of my daughter in March 2009, I have decided to expand my Giggles venture and develop the existing range whilst creating this website so that I can work part-time around my family.

Thankyou for browsing my site, I hope it gives you a giggle!
